What to Expect
GRACE AND HOSPITALITY. We understand that attending a new church gathering for the first time can sometimes feel awkward, especially if you wouldn’t consider yourself a Christian or are used to a particular kind of church. Our goal is to provide both Christians and non-Christians alike with the safety and space to come together and consider who Jesus is and what God’s Word has to say to us today. Questions? You can visit our Connection Table for more info on who we are and how we can help you.
WORSHIP. PRAYER. PREACHING. Our Sunday Gatherings are simple in form: centered on God’s grace and driven by God’s Word. Every week you can expect at least three elements at our weekly gathering: worship songs, prayer, and preaching. On a monthly basis, we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and believer’s baptism. When we gather our aim is to worship our great God and Savior, to build up God’s people, and to be strengthened to live for Jesus in all of life. Believer, seeker, or skeptic, all are welcome at Treasuring Christ as we seek to know and follow Jesus.
Some Questions You Might Have About Our Sunday Gatherings
What should I wear?
There’s no dress code, so come as you are and wear what you like. Whether you are dressed up, laid back, or in your snow gear, you’ll likely find someone dressed just like you. We take God and His word seriously, but not ourselves—so feel free to come wearing whatever is appropriate and you’re most comfortable in.
What do you have for my kids?
We provide a safe and fun learning environment for kids. If you bring your kids with you on Sunday, you can check them in with our safe and secure check in process. Babies and toddlers (0-3 yrs old) will be together in one class and pre-k through 2nd grade will be together in another class. Children in 3rd grade and up are encouraged to attend the service with their parents. We are actively planning to expand our Kids Ministry class offerings for children of all ages. If you would like to learn about how you can help us grow Kids Ministry, email email@example.com.
What time should I get there?
Our Sunday gathering starts at 10am. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early if you’d like to check your kids in ahead of time or grab a free cup of coffee before the service begins.
What if I don’t believe in Jesus?
Everyone is welcome—even skeptics. We welcome both believers and skeptics to explore their honest questions about God and Christianity, so feel free to come with your curiosity or doubts. We recognize that belief is hard, that’s why... We value questions and the people who ask them. We prize being a community where you can belong before you believe. We assume each Sunday that there are people present who are not convinced. You are welcome here. Come. Doubt. Ask. Explore. Your presence would be a gift to us. Our pastors are always available after the service and throughout the week to answer your questions. No scripts. Nothing off limits. Just honest answers to thoughtful questions.
