in all of life and for the good of our community

The outworking of the gospel in the lives of believers should be marked by showing mercy and doing justice. Mercy is meeting basic needs out of a gospel-produced compassion. Doing justice is being committed to serving the marginalized and oppressed, working for the reconciliation of all races and ethnicities, and defending the right to life from conception to natural death. Therefore, we seek to love our neighbors, regardless of who they are, not only in word but also in deed.

Since God calls us to live in specific places and among specific people, we seek to listen and learn. We desire to open up conversations, learn people’s stories, and help them find their place in God’s story of redemption. We believe Jesus invites everyone in and, at the same time, challenges everyone to submit their lives to Him. Therefore, we desire to work out the gospel in all of life while treating all people with compassion, gentleness, and respect. Therefore, we aim to engage our culture with the convictional kindness–reflecting Jesus’ open invitation to all and universal call to submit our entire lives to Him

Serve A2Y Goals

  • We want to meet real needs in our community

  • We want to be a fragrant aroma of Christ to our city-- for our city to know we are here, and be glad that we are.

  • We want to provide opportunities for our members to serve our city, developing a pattern and culture of community involvement among us.

  • Build positive relationships with businesses and organizations in our community

Serve A2Y Week

Our annual Serve A2Y week is where we take a whole week to intentionally serve our community through landscaping for nonprofits and local parks, making meals, serving local business with odds and end projects, giveaways, block parties, and so much more.

Serve A2Y Weekend & Small Groups
We believe that serving shouldn’t just take place during the Serve A2Y week in the summer but throughout the year. We entrust our ongoing serve projects to our small groups. Small groups have the opportunity to schedule and serve our local partners throughout the year. Additionally, in the Fall each year, we set aside one weekend, to intentionally serve our community.
